Ii.The Philadelphia Office of LGBT Affairs hosted a trans flag raising on 31st March. I.The National Center for Transgender Equality, the largest non-profit group advocating for trans right, hosted an online award ceremony to honour the trans leaders. The day focuses on trans people and the allies of the trans community who reach out to trans people. Ii.The first International Transgender Day of Visibility was held on 31st March 2009. I.The International Transgender Day of Visibility was founded by Rachel Crandall, the US Based transgender activist in 2009. The day aims to create awareness about the discrimination and violence faced by the trans people. International Transgender Day of Visibility is annually observed across the globe on 31st March to celebrate the lives of Transgender people and to educate the general public about the history of Transgender.
